How do I process my first investment?
Creating an account
Investing is easy and everything is processed directly on the website. You’ll need to create your account first. You can create a free account by clicking here. You’ll need to provide your name, email address, zip code, phone number, and create a password.
Processing an investment
Once you create your account, you can invest in the REIT by clicking here. It’s a six-step process and the website will guide you through it. You’ll need to provide your full legal name, a street address, and your SSN or Tax-ID number. As an investor, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires that we collect this information, so we can properly report your earnings.
Account Ownership
In Step 2 of the investment process, you can select the Form of Ownership. There are four options.
- Individual: Select this option if you are the sole investor.
- Joint: Select this option if this is a joint investment with your spouse or other.
- Entity: Select this option when investing via a company such as an LLC
- Trust: Select this option when investing via a trust
If you are investing via an Entity or Trust, you can provide your entity/trust information in Step 2 of the investment process. You are still required to provide your personal information in Step 1.
Escrow period
We work with a third-party escrow company. When investing, the funds are held in escrow for approximately 5–8 business days to ensure Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) compliance on all transactions. We do this to remain compliant with the Patriot Act as well.
Our escrow service will occasionally request certain documentation such as proof of address, driver’s license, passport, or other to verify the owner of the investment. This is a one-time process and can happen with your first investment. If this is the case, we’ll reach out directly to request this documentation. Otherwise, your investment should clear escrow within 5–8 business days.
